The database, which contains 100,000 records, includes details from the U.S., Singapore, and the United Kingdom. The data is being marketed for “crypto-related marketing, fraud, or recovery targeting.”
Previously, another dark web user, kiki88888, sold 132,744 Binance email and password records. The data was reportedly stolen through compromised devices, not a Binance breach.
Scams In Australia Soar
Elsewhere, Australia is facing increased cyber threats. On March 21st, Australian police warned about a scam targeting crypto users, while earlier in March, phishing attempts spoofing Coinbase and Gemini were reported.
These scams tricked users into transferring crypto to wallets controlled by cybercriminals, a tactic which is unfortunately all too commonplace.
