Nouriel Roubini Pranks Everyone By Claiming To Be Satoshi Nakamoto

Nouriel Roubini, a renowned economist and longtime Bitcoin (BTC) critic, tried to prank followers on April Fools’ Day by claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

Outrageous Claims

On Tuesday, he shared an article titled, “Nouriel Roubini Comes Out as Satoshi Nakamoto, Signs with Private Key,” claiming to have proof of being Bitcoin’s creator.

In the article, Roubini allegedly said, “I came up with the idea, I came up with everything, and I mined the early blocks.” He even claimed to have mined a block thought to be created by Satoshi using his private key.

April Fools’

To verify the claims, Ankit Madhwani asked the AI chatbot, ‘Grok’, for help, and Grok quickly dismissed it as an April Fools’ prank, pointing out that Roubini’s history of criticizing Bitcoin contradicted the claim and no blockchain proof was provided.

Roubini has long criticized Bitcoin, calling it a “scam,” and the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto remains one of the biggest mysteries in the tech world, with various figures linked to the pseudonym.
