Despite the bloodbath in leveraged markets, spot traders are showing signs of strength, using the crash as a chance to accumulate DOGE at lower levels.
On-chain analyst and Alphractal CEO Joao Wedson noted that DOGE has not yet reached a phase of euphoria. In fact, accumulation among short-term holders continues, which could be a bullish signal.
Wedson uses the CVDD Alpha metric (Cumulative Value Days Destroyed) to identify cycle tops and bottoms, and according to this tool, DOGE is far from overheating.
Wedson claims:
“We haven’t entered the euphoric zone yet. Accumulation is ongoing.”
This same model has historically predicted every major DOGE top since 2016.
New Hodl Waves data shows a growing share of the DOGE supply is held by investors with coin ages under six months, indicating fresh capital entering the market.
Simultaneously, the MVRV Z-Score, a reliable market cycle indicator, remains well below levels seen during previous market tops, including the peak in 2021.
This suggests that DOGE is still in the early stages of a bull cycle.
According to CryptoQuant, retail investor behavior remains neutral, there’s no frenzy, but also no apathy.
Historically, this “equilibrium phase” tends to come before mass retail participation, often acting as a precursor to large moves.

Crypto trader EtherNasyonal pointed out that DOGE has broken its long-term downtrend, reclaimed its 25-day moving average, and is now entering a retest phase.
These are the exact conditions that preceded every major Dogecoin rally to date. EtherNasyonal noted:
“DOGE rallies tend to start when disbelief dominates. We’re there now.”
Market analyst Trader Tardigrade compared the current DOGE structure to its 2014–2017 bull cycle, suggesting that a breakout is on the horizon.
If history repeats, $1.60 by Q1 2026 is a realistic target.
Based on on-chain metrics and historical cycles, several analysts believe DOGE could realistically reach $1.60 by early 2026, especially if accumulation and macro cycle trends continue.
A sudden liquidation event triggered over $365 million in long liquidations, causing a temporary flash crash. However, DOGE has since recovered most of its losses.
While nothing is guaranteed, current data shows accumulation among holders and neutral retail sentiment—conditions that have historically preceded large bull runs.
CVDD (Cumulative Value Days Destroyed) Alpha is an on-chain indicator used to identify crypto cycle tops and bottoms by analyzing spending behavior across time.
