His statement came as IOG’s original contract expired in 2020, marking the end of the initial roadmap. He noted that scaling was achieved according to the original plan, but ongoing work on advanced solutions like Leios and Hydra is now underway.
Confusion Lingers
Despite Cardano’s success, Charles warned that the aforementioned projects could be at risk without proper funding, potentially leading to a shift to other opportunities.
This raised concerns within the community, with some questioning how the contract could be considered complete when scalability goals, like Hydra’s aim to handle 65,000 transactions per second, are still in progress.
