Laying The Groundwork
The memorandum of understanding (MOU), announced on February 17th, aims to lay the groundwork for blockchain integration and foster innovation in the country.
The collaboration will focus on education, technological innovation, and sustainable practices, with plans to build blockchain expertise through public and private sector programs. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino emphasized that the partnership will drive economic growth and position Guinea as a leader in tech innovation.
Empowering The Youth
Guinea’s Interim President Mamady Doumbouya’s Chief of Staff, Djiba Diakité, highlighted the country’s goal to equip its youth for global challenges and digital opportunities.
Tether also supports Guinea’s “Innovation City,” aimed at fostering tech research and development. According to a recent survey, Africa, including Guinea, is emerging as a leading region in crypto adoption.
