With a fresh valuation approaching $500 million, the Chinese startup is now preparing to expand its footprint across key global regions, including North America, East Asia, and the Gulf.

The company has also adopted a subscription-based monetization model, with a reported 2.6 million users already on the waitlist.

Mixed Reactions

Chief Scientist Yichao “Peak” Ji insists Manus is more than a typical AI platform, it represents a transformative leap in human-AI collaboration. The system is capable of operating autonomously, handling tasks like resume filtering and travel planning.

Victor Mustar, Head of Product at Hugging Face, called Manus “the most impressive AI tool he’s ever tried.” Still, some experts have voiced concerns over potential dependencies on foundational models like Claude and Alibaba’s Qwen, highlighting questions about long-term robustness.
