According to Bitpanda deputy CEO Lukas Enzersdorfer-Konrad, the recent pullback in XRP is part of a broader market adjustment rather than a sign of long-term weakness.
He emphasized that while it’s challenging to predict exact price levels in such a dynamic market, XRP surpassing its 2018 all-time high (ATH) is far from impossible.
As of publication time, XRP is trading at $3.21, marking a 10.20% decrease over the last 24 hours, based on data from Nansen. This dip comes just days after XRP reached a year-to-date high of $3.66, approaching its ATH of $3.84 set in January 2018.

While XRP’s individual performance is notable, its price trajectory remains closely tied to broader market trends, particularly in the altcoin sector.
The Altcoin Season Index, a metric that tracks investor sentiment between Bitcoin and altcoins, recently shifted from “Bitcoin Season” to “Altcoin Season.” This shift typically signals a market environment that favors non-Bitcoin assets like XRP.
In the past 30 days, Bitcoin dominance has fallen by over 5.4%, suggesting that capital is rotating into altcoins. This trend tends to boost assets like XRP, especially when combined with strong market liquidity and bullish investor sentiment.

Enzersdorfer-Konrad stressed that XRP’s price is highly reactive to broader altcoin sentiment and regulatory developments. With the current regulatory climate appearing to stabilize, there may be more room for bullish momentum if liquidity and market confidence persist.
In his words:
“The key thing to watch now is whether momentum broadens across other altcoins or remains concentrated. This will determine how sustainable XRP’s movement is.”
From a technical perspective, XRP is currently holding above its 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA), a commonly watched level that often indicates bullish support.
Moreover, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) has dropped to neutral territory around 50, suggesting that the asset is neither overbought nor oversold.
This positioning gives XRP room to run if buying pressure resumes, especially in the context of a rising altcoin tide.
Adding to the optimism, a well-known crypto analyst, Dom, recently forecasted that XRP could reach between $7 and $10, depending on how strongly the rest of the market performs.
This aligns with the broader sentiment that XRP’s best days might still be ahead—especially if macroeconomic and crypto-native factors align.
The dip is largely attributed to overall market volatility and profit-taking after XRP reached a recent high. Analysts do not see it as a sign of fundamental weakness.
While past performance is no guarantee of future returns, many experts believe XRP has strong upside potential if the altcoin market continues its momentum.
XRP’s all-time high was $3.84, recorded in January 2018.
Some analysts, like Dom, suggest it’s possible depending on broader market trends and continued investor interest in altcoins.
Lower Bitcoin dominance typically means more capital is flowing into altcoins, which can benefit assets like XRP.
