AI Agents Surge As Bitcoin Continues To Recover

AI agents are rebounding alongside a broader market recovery, with Bitcoin (BTC) climbing from $75,000 to over $95,000 in recent days.

$9 Billion Valuation

Several AI tokens have surged more than 40% this past week, according to CoinGecko. Standouts include VIRTUAL from Virtuals Protocol and AI16Z from Eliza OS, jumping 123% and 89% to $1.43 and $0.298, respectively, though both remain well below their all-time highs.

The AI Agent crypto market has also doubled in three weeks, now valued at $9.06 billion, per Cookie.fun. That includes tokens like AIXBT, up 73% this week, but still down 82% from January highs. Meme coins like FARTCOIN are also part of the sector’s growth.

Strong Investor Interest

AI-focused blockchains like Bittensor (TAO) and Near Protocol (NEAR) rose over 9% in the same period. While there’s no clear catalyst, projects like Virtuals Protocol continue to build, launching new mechanisms for fair token distribution.

In any case, investor interest remains strong. Paradigm recently backed Nous Research with a $50M raise at a $1 billion valuation. Overall, the AI Agent sector is up 14% on the week, nearing a $26 billion market cap, outpacing both Bitcoin (4%) and Ethereum (7.6%).
